The Yoga Anatomy Coloring Book by Kelly Solloway
Well, back to colouring books for adults but this time on anatomy. Bravo to Kelly Solloway for this journey into the systems of the body- and talk about creating a hands-on discovery for those without a #kinesiology degree! If you want a refresher on how the body moves, and/or your philosophy on teaching yoga truly comes first from a lens of safety and inclusion then this is a great learning tool.
On Music
Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks
This was one of first books I read on neuroscience back in undergrad… it was and still is an incredible monumental book of research from the late Oliver Sacks on the power behind music therapy. You will read countless studies on people with various brain injuries, experiences and as Sacks says…
“One does not need to have any formal knowledge of music- nor, indeed to be particularly “musical” to enjoy music and to respond to it at the deepest levels. Music is apart of being human, and there is no human culture in which it is not highly developed and esteemed.”

My Heart Soars by Chief Dan George
“The beauty of the tree,
the softness of the air,
the fragrance of the grass
speaks to me.
The summit of the mountain,
the thunder of the sky,
the rhythm of the sea,
speaks to me… And my heart soars.”
